WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Direct Planner to establish clear end to end bottom’s up merchandise plans that are grounded in profitability, productivity and consumer centric offering. You will be partnering with Merchandising & Merchandise Financial Planning to help create the pre-season style color plans that support the goals of Converse. As well managing through to in- season optimization through a collaborative weekly trade offense.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:

In this role you'll establish clear merchandise plans that tell a story for the season and helps merchandising to create a line grounded in profitability and consumer centric offering. This will include collaborating with merchandising and business units to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial plans and product opportunities.

You will:

  • Approach planning end-to-end across multiple channels and multiple connected seasons beginning with retail metrics grounded in marketplace health. 

  • Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly basis.

  • You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across Geo to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle

  • Recap and analyze the business against forecast weekly and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a monthly basis & quarterly basis

  • Product forecasting and in season optimization by analyzing data, & providing actionable insights

  • Report on forecast variance weekly with action plans and risks & opportunities

  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management activities

  • In partnership with marketplace teams actively manage product; close-out process and aging inventory to maximize consumer demand and marketplace objectives

 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

You will partner cross functionally with Merchandising, Merchandise Financial Planning, Site Merchandising, Marketing and Operations.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience

  • Ability to Leverage analytics and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season

  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning

  • Ability to influence and design compelling communication grounded in data

  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a style in the marketplace as well as quantify any gaps to financial plans from a bottoms up perspective

  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend
