WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking an analytical, adaptable problem-solver with strong communication skills to develop multi-seasonal merchandise financial plans for WE Converse Direct. You’ll bridge commercial needs with actionable insights, delivering detailed plans to support consumer demand in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
In this role, you will be partnering with the Direct Finance, Direct Merchandising, Direct Planning and Consumer Marketplace MFP to create seasonal plans grounded in revenue, inventory, profitability, and consumer centricity.
You will manage these plans through to in-season optimization and delivery of commercial targets through a robust rolling forecast process and collaborative weekly/monthly/quarterly offense with various cross-functional stakeholders across the Direct Team.
You will:
- Shape and contribute to 6 season merchandise financial plans, including orders and inventory for Kids Footwear, Total Apparel & Accessories across the Direct channels.
- Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings. You'll proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicate results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross-functional team members on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Geo to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive in-season inventory, reconcile assortment planners bottoms up, and ensure alignment
- You'll collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge. In addition, you'll participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
You will partner cross functionally with Merchandising, Assortment Planning, Allocation, Site Merchandising, Analytics, Retail Managers, Marketing and Operations.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Prior work experience, preferably in (retail merch) financial planning, and the ability to apply that knowledge independently in your work. Demonstrated experience working with stock and sales plans, experience with Excel or other planning tools, and experience with retail KPIs are important for this role. You understand the importance and value of scenario planning. You are able to collaborate optimally with up- & downstream functions and are aware of emerging trends in planning
- Proficiency in Excel & Microsoft Applications
- Strong analytical skills with a growth mindset for leveraging data in decision-making. Ability to Leverage analytics and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
- Ability to influence and design compelling communication grounded in data
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trend
