WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
They’ll sit at the center of Converse Sportswear, leading a global merchandising team while partnering closely with Design, Product Creation, Planning, Finance, and Analytics. This role reports to the Senior Director of Merchandising for Converse and partners with Energy, Basketball, Skate, X‑Sports, and Marketplace merchandising teams worldwide.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a global merchandising leader with a sharp consumer instinct and a strong product point of view. This person knows how to turn insight into action—building line plans and assortments that feel right, sell through, and scale globally. They bring clarity to complexity, lead with confidence, and influence across a global matrix without losing speed or craft.
You understand sportswear culture and the competitive landscape, and you know how to balance creativity with commercial rigor. You’re equally comfortable shaping long‑range strategy and driving seasonal execution. You lead teams with intention, challenge thinking when it matters, and elevate the work through strong storytelling, analytics, and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising or product leadership
- Proven experience leading global teams and complex seasonal line plans
- Deep knowledge of the global sportswear consumer and marketplace dynamics
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll set the global merchandising vision for Converse Sportswear—defining line plans, shaping assortments, and ensuring every product choice ladders back to the consumer and the brand. You’ll lead teams, guide cross‑functional partners, and turn insight into product stories that resonate globally.
- Own global line planning, architecture, and seasonal merchandising strategy across Footwear and Apparel
- Influence global creation decisions rooted in consumer insight, growth opportunity, and marketplace realities
- Manage and develop the Sportswear Merchandising team, setting clear direction and expectations
- Partner with Design, Product Creation, and Planning to shape category strategy and long‑range vision
- Analyze trends, competition, margin, lifecycle, and flow to unlock growth opportunities
- Drive alignment across X‑Sports and Marketplace merchandising teams
- Lead seasonal readouts, line plan reviews, and executive‑level presentations
