About the Role
The Retail Excellence Senior Manager is a key management role within Converse China’s retail organization. This role leads the Retail Excellence team to systematically elevate retail performance at client doors, while embedding membership capability, retail innovation, and client management into daily retail operations to drive sustainable and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Retail Excellence Team & System
- Act as line manager of Retail Excellence Senior Specialists, owning team goals and capability development.
- Guide store diagnostics, retail judgment, and optimization design.
- Translate store-level experience into scalable retail methodologies.
2. Drive Membership Strategy in Retail (Key Focus)
- Partner with CRM, Marketing, and Digital teams to drive membership execution at retail.
- Optimize in-store membership acquisition, segmentation, and lifecycle management.
- Evaluate membership initiatives from a long-term consumer value perspective.
3. Lead Retail Innovation & New Models (Key Focus)
- Lead or sponsor retail innovation, new retail, and O2O initiatives.
- Design pilots, define success criteria, and scale proven concepts.
- Ensure innovation is tied to tangible business results.
4. Client & Key Door Management
- Support strategic retail and long-term business discussions with key clients.
- Provide data-driven and judgment-based retail and membership recommendations.
- Build long-term client partnerships aligned with brand growth.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or above with 8–10 years of retail or retail excellence experience.
- Proven people management experience.
- Strong understanding of store operations and membership / consumer asset management.
- Strong business judgment and cross-functional influencing skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in membership or CRM initiatives.
- Experience in new retail, O2O, or innovation projects.
- Experience working with Key Accounts.
