How Nike Uses the Hirevue Assessment Tools
In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, Nike, Inc. and its subsidiaries (including Nike Retail Services and Converse, Inc.) (collectively, "Nike") provide this notice to notify job applicants and employees that Nike uses an automated employment decision tool ("AEDT") developed by Hirevue (the "Hirevue Assessment Tools") as part of the application process for some in-store retail roles (including Retail Associate and Retail Assistant). Where used, the application process will ask you to record answers to interview questions. The Hirevue Assessment Tools will then analyze your answers to the interview questions. The Hirevue Assessment Tools evaluate the content of your responses against specific competencies and qualifications for the role, including:
- adaptability
- willingness to learn
- composure
- communication
- dependability
- service focus
The Hirevue Assessment Tools may create a recommended score by assessing the content of your responses and their relationship with competencies and behaviors shown to be important for success in the role.
The Hirevue Assessment Tools do not analyze your facial expressions, emotions, or other biometric characteristics from video. A member of Nike’s hiring team will make the final hiring decision.
Accommodations
Applicants can request an alternative selection process by opting out of the use of the Hirevue Assessment Tools. This option is provided prior to using the Hirevue Assessment Tools. You do not need to give a reason, and doing so will not count against your application or any future application.

Data Collection & Retention
The Hirevue Assessment Tools may collect or generate the following types of data:
- Video and audio recordings of your responses
- Text transcriptions
- Summaries
- Insights
- Assessment scores
- Metadata related to your session
